Annes perfect grey galley kitchen

Before visiting Sigma 3, Anne Robinson was utterly unaware of the possibilities that her galley kitchen held, and was delighted by the creative design ideas proposed by kitchen designer Susan.

Anne came to Sigma 3 following a recommendation from a friend who waxed lyrical about the service she received from our team at our Esher showroom. Anne came along to our Esher showroom with a mood board of ideas and began her kitchen journey.

What was the brief?

Having researched lots of kitchen styles, Anne was positive that she wanted a light grey kitchen, and although she had a clear idea of what she was looking for, she didn’t know how to achieve it. Anne wanted her kitchen to be “opened out”,  which meant she preferred to have lots of shelves and not too many cupboards. 

The design process

Anne expressed she was thrilled with Susan’s design ideas, especially the floating shelves. The kitchen of choice was our beautifully traditional shaker kitchen range, Hardwick in Scots Grey.

Having a galley kitchen meant the space was narrow, so Susan posed the idea of floating shelves to clear up space, which Anne was thrilled about. Anne was also impressed by the concept of curving the ends of the cupboards to soften the look.

To ensure the space worked best for Anne, Susan incorporated innovative storage solutions like our pantry, The Hathaway and a pull-out larder, Magnaspace.

The outcome

Anne is delighted with her new kitchen and was over the moon when friends told her the kitchen looks much larger.

Anne expressed that one of her favourite things about her new kitchen is the way it works for her in terms of when she’s cooking. She explained that everything is easily accessible and loves that there’s a space, her "wine chair", where anyone can relax and chat whilst she or her husband is cooking.
