A Passion for Kitchens Since 1975

After leaving school in 1972, Brian began working as a cabinet maker in Barry. His passion grew as he crafted units for friends and family in his parents' garden shed. With rising demand, he set up a workshop in an old Nissen hut on his uncle's farm. On January 13th 1975, Sigma 3 Kitchens Ltd was born.

1976

First Premises in Barry

We set up our first home in Barry, combining a furniture production facility with a stylish showroom to showcase our craft.

1982

Expansion to Swansea

We proudly opened our second showroom in Swansea, officially inaugurated by Lord Tonypandy, George Thomas, then Speaker of the House of Commons.

Sigma 3 Kitchens new showroom in Cardiff

1983

Opening in Cardiff

With the acquisition of a new showroom in Cardiff, Sigma 3 continued to grow. This space, opened by Ian Kelsall, former Director of the CBI in Wales, marked our presence in the capital.

To keep up with growing demand, we expanded into a larger manufacturing facility in Llantrisant - the very site where our factory thrives today.

1995

Resilience Through Adversity

A devastating fire impacted our factory, damaging facilities and contents. However, thanks to the resilience of our team and community support, we persevered.

1996

Rebirth in Llantrisant

Just one year later, we celebraterd the grand re-opening of our factory, officiated by the then Secretary of State for Wales, marking our recovery and renewed strength..

Sigma 3 Kitchens acquires County Kitchens in Surrey

2002

Expanding with County Kitchens

Sigma 3 acquired County Kitchens in Esher, expanding our reach and offering in a key new market.

2005

The Launch of Masterclass Kitchens

We proudly launched our Masterclass Kitchens - a distinctive brand of kitchen furniture that would become a hallmark of quality and innovation in the industry.

Announcing an ambitious £20 million investment to expand our buildings, facilities and systems, we accelerated our growth and increased local economic impact. This investment included a 130,000 sq ft state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bridgend, South Wales, featuring enhanced automation, new equipment, and improved business systems, ensuring Sigma 3 remains at the forefront of the industry.
