4 Ideas For The Perfect Handleless Kitchen Design
Published on 07 May 2020
The clean lines and modern design of a true handleless kitchen can add a sleek, minimalist and bang-on-trend theme in your home. If you would love this look in your kitchen but don’t know where to start, then explore our four handleless kitchen ideas, tips and designs below for inspiration.
1. Mix and match colours and textures
If you’re feeling brave enough to create a bold design statement in your kitchen, then mix and match two (or even three!) contrasting or complementary tones. For example, one of our most popular combinations at the moment is to mix a dark navy blue with light grey and rustic oak.
Here are some of our favourite handleless colour and texture combinations:
White and blue is a classic colour combination that translates very well to a modern handleless kitchen. Pictured above is H Line Lumina White and H line Sutton Inkwell, designed by Susan McCutcheon in our Esher showroom.
A dark navy blue will also look beautiful when paired with rustic wood tones - pictured above is our H Line Hampton range in Oxford Blue with Madoc Chalkwood. This was designed by Lisa Foggan in our Cardiff Colchester Avenue showroom.
You could also dare to go dark; a very dark grey looks stunning with a rustic oak finish - just like the kitchen above, designed by Ollie Wilcox in our Esher showroom.
2. Personalise with your handle rail
Add another dimension to you handleless kitchen with contrasting handle rails. These can add emphasis to the sleek lines that a handleless design creates. We have a selection of 30 handle rail colours that will allow you to truly personalise your design.
Here are some of our favourite combinations:
A graphite handle rail adds contrast to a light grey kitchen - as seen in the kitchen above, which was designed by Martyn Harris in our Cardiff Culverhouse Cross showroom.
Or you could be brave and opt for a green handle, just like Emma Randall's happy customer from our Abergavenny showroom.
3. Make a statement with extra wide drawers
Our LineaPlus drawers are available up to 2 meters wide – which makes them not only practical, but also incredibly stylish in a handleless kitchen, adding a sleek look with plenty of storage space.
Our LineaPlus extra wide drawes work perfectly when integrated with an island, just like on this H Line Hampton Highland Stone kitchen, designed by Ceri Billington in our Swansea showroom.
4. Embrace open plan living
Handleless kitchens are perfect for open plan living. So if you have the space or are planning on extending or knocking down walls, a handleless design is perfect for you.
Here are some inspirational examples of our customers open plan spaces with handleless kitchens:
Create a run of handleless units in your open plan space for additional storage. Pictured above is our H Line Lumina range designed by Martyn Harris in our Cardiff Culverhouse Cross showroom.
A dark handleless kitchen is the perfect complement to a bright and airy open plan kitchen diner. The range featured above in Roma in Graphite, designed by Lisa Foggan from our Cardiff Colchester Avenue showroom.
