How to Make Pet Friendly Kitchens
Published on 22 Aug 2019
There are a whopping 8.9 million dogs and 11.1 million cats in our homes across the UK. As a nation of animal lovers, shouldn’t we start to think about them when it comes to designing our dream kitchens?
Our pet-friendly kitchen design features are sure to have your furry friends in a frenzy of excitement. We can help you to create cosy nooks, kitchen dog food and cat food stations, and brush down boot rooms to keep your four legged family members happy and at home in your new kitchen.
Here’s some of our pet-approved kitchen design features;
Chefs Table
Our Chefs Table design feature adds a classic detailed finish to the end of your kitchen units. As well as an additional piece of storage and worktop space, it can also double up as a place to store all your pets kitchen bits and pieces. The bottom shelf makes a great area for some food and water bowls, toys or even treat jars with easy access when preparing breakfast and dinner meals for your furry friend. Its drawer option could be utilised for anything you might need to keep stored away from prying eyes and greedy mouths, such as food and treat bags.
Dog bed areas
Sometimes, all you really need for your dogs and cats in the kitchen is a safe area where they can go while you’re cooking to save them from getting under your feet. Our designers can help you to create cosy corners of your kitchen that are dedicated to your pampered pets.
Magna Space
The MagnaSpace pull out larder from The Signature Collection is the perfect place to store any pet food, bowls, treats, toys and anything else your four-legged friend could wish for. They come in a variety of sizes, so if you’ve got a few animals you can accommodate each one on a different shelf. Or you could design a smaller MagnaSpace to just cater for a single animal.
Boot room
Customers are falling head over heels in love with our boot room design feature. Create a luxury area near your door that is specifically designed to take care of any muddy or wet paws. Hang collars and leads off the hooks and store towels in the integrated drawers for wiping down any dirty hounds or felines.

After all, it’s their home too, right?
