A Bit of Kitchen History

Sigma 3 Kitchens has been proudly manufacturing British kitchens in Wales since 1975. It all started when Brian Lakin began making furniture for family and friends in an old farm building in Barry. 

Since then, the family business has grown exponentially and now operates out of a 70,000 sq ft purpose built manufacturing site in Llantrisant, south Wales, a mere 15 miles from where it all began. 

Where the Magic Happens

Our team ensures that your kitchen cabinets are manufactured to the highest standards that we demand. Every piece of your kitchen furniture is precision cut, drilled and edged using high tech, computer controlled machinery. 

Once they’re cut, they are stored in our temperature controlled warehouse to ensure that all of the raw materials are kept in perfect condition. Each and every component is checked by hand before being carefully assembled. Our expert technicians will fit all of the hinges, doors and internal items at this point and a final check is then carried out before your kitchen is packaged. 

Delivering your Fitted Kitchen

We have a special team of Sigma 3 fleet vehicles and dedicated delivery team that are on standby to deliver your kitchen to you. They ensure that your kitchen arrives with you exactly how it left our factory; in perfect condition.  

We are extremely proud to be manufacturing great British kitchens and every member of the Sigma 3 team takes enormous pride when another kitchen leaves the factory. 

Today

Today Sigma 3 Kitchens remains a family run business and employs over 200 local people.  In 2015 we invested £1.6m into modernising and expanding the factory. This enabled us to increase our output to 1,500 cabinets per week. We also invested in our manufacturing process to make it even more environmentally friendly.
